Crystal Palace recorded their third clean sheet in a row as they drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles were the better side in the first half but Paddy McCarthy, Darren Ambrose, Alan Lee and the impressive Victor Moses were all guilty of wasting chances.

Despite their possession and effort, Lee Grant was never seriously tested in the Owls’ goal as Palace failed to get a shot on target.

Julian Speroni at the other end had to pull off a smart save from Leon Clarke and Danny Butterfield cleared off the line from Marcus Tudgay as Wednesday improved after the break.

Palace have now gone 19 games without scoring in the first half.
