Julian Speroni: Had one good save to make from Clarke but not tested too much otherwise. Had a dodgy moment when he dropped the ball but got away with it. Third clean sheet in a row. 7
Danny Butterfield: In the right place at the right time to clear off the line from Tudgay and got forward well. Deservedly booked for tackle on Esajas. 7
Jose Fonte: Coped well in the first half but had a nightmare in the second, giving away a couple of very silly free kicks that could have cost Palace. 6
Paddy McCarthy: The more composed of the centre backs and did well against Varney. His no nonsense defending is just the thing Warnock likes. 7
Clint Hill: Could easily have been sent off for tackle on Esajas after just 10 seconds but did well to hold his ground and not get booked again. 6
Shaun Derry: Urged his side on and was talking throughout, organising everything. He was always in the ear of the youngsters too when they needed a bit of advice or a pat on the back. 7
Alassane N’Diaye: Not his best game but showed glimpses of his top form. He needed to be playing further forward but he is still learning his trade. 6
Neil Danns: Played mostly on the right wing and was willing to do a job for the team but is better playing centrally when he can get forward and support the strikers. 6
Darren Ambrose: Really should have scored early on when he missed his kick in front of goal and his dead ball deliveries were not up to their usual quality. 5
Victor Moses: An absolute joy to watch in the first half playing up front with Lee and could have scored or had at least two assists. Went off the boil in the second half when switched to the left wing and looked tired. Man of the match. 8
Alan Lee: Won a lot of headers but lost a lot too. The shout from Warnock telling him ‘to jump higher and win the ball’ got cheers from the fans in the main stand but won’t have done the Irishman’s confidence any good. 5
Subs:
Sean Scannell (N’Diaye, 56): Gave the front line some much needed energy but needs to work on final ball. Is getting more intelligent all the time though. 6
Nick Carle (Ambrose, 72): Looked calm and composed on the ball and got his head up to look for the pass. 6
Ryan Smith (Moses, 76): Did very little. 5
