A novice explorer will swap life in Wimbledon for an Arctic adventure next year.
Charity worker Kiri Crequer is set to drive a team of huskies across Norway and Sweden in a week long challenge.
The 24-year-old Wimbledon resident has started fundraising for her 155 mile trip, which is set to take place in April.
She is raising money for sanitation charity Wateraid.
Miss Crequer, who lives in Rothesay Avenue and works in Norbury, said: “I can’t wait. On the first day I will get to meet 130 Alaskan Huskies, and find out which ones will be my life support for the next six days.
"Then it’s over mountains of 800 metres, and through tribal lands, ice valleys and deep forests, all at Arctic temperatures.”
