Two brothers are planning a gruelling trip to Timbuktu in a £100 car.
Sean Fuell, 42 from Croydon, and his brother Kevin will travel all the way to Mali to raise money for St Christopher’s Hospice.
The hospice supported Kevin when his wife was diagnosed with cancer 20 years ago. They gave her the chance to die at home with her children and family around her.
They will make the epic 4,000 mile trip in a £100 beat-up Nissan Micra.
Their route will take them through Morocco, to the western Sahara and the minefields of Mauritania.
The pair leave on Boxing Day and hope to reach Timbuktu on January 19.
St Christopher’s Hospice support and give medical assistance to 600 people a day who chose to die at home.
