Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has given his backing to a new fans' initiative aimed at bringing the good times back to Selhurst Park.
A group of loyal supporters are asking people going to this Saturday's match against Blackpool to bring a scarf with them in a bid to show the players they are behind them, despite the troubles currently surrounding the club.
With the Eagles under a transfer embargo and chairman Simon Jordan looking to sell the club, times are difficult for Palace but Warnock was full of praise for the efforts of the fans.
"I think initiatives like this are great," he said.
"It's kids for a quid day too so it is going to be a great atmosphere.
"We want as many fans as we can get in there because it does make a difference.
"I absolutely back these sort of ideas and we want to get as much interest as we can."
Fans without scarves can get them from the club shop, where a 10 per cent discount will be on offer before the game, and Tony Matthews, the main protagonist of the idea, was hopeful many fans would take up the baton.
"These are difficult times for Palace," he said.
"But we want to give Neil Warnock and the team as much backing as possible and inspire young fans and parents coming to the family fun day by showing them what being a football supporter is all about.
"Things are at an early stage and Blackpool is only the first the first idea to create a better atmosphere and rebuild Palace's support.
"Future ideas will be much bigger, but we wanted to start with something that will be colourful, visible and that everybody can join in with."
