The Epsom Playhouse can now add playing cupid to its list of achievements.
Natasha Chamberlain and Steve Cappell met 15 years ago at the Youth Theatre Workshop held at the Epsom Playhouse.
Their romance blossomed after they appeared together in a production of the aptly titled The Boyfriend.
Natasha and Steve approached Epsom Playhouse General Manager Trevor Mitchell with an unusual request.
Trevor said: “This young couple had fallen in loveat the Epsom Playhouse and their dearest wish was to be married on the Playhouse stage.
“We looked into the possibility of this and I am delighted to announce that the Epsom Playhouse is now licenced to hold weddings and civil ceremonies.
Natasha and Steve were the first couple to get married here on Sunday September 20.
“We hope this will be the first of many long and happy unions conducted at our theatre.”
