Crystal Palace could face a defensive crisis tomorrow when they attempt to beat Blackpool in the league for the first time since 1970.
Central defenders Paddy McCarthy and Claude Davis have both been struck down with a virus that has ruled them out of training all week, though both may recover in time to feature.
If not then Johnny Ertl or Clint Hill could partner Jose Fonte in defence with Matt Lawrence out of the picture following his transfer-listing.
Up front Freddie Sears will have to pass a late fitness test to play following an ankle injury, but Victor Moses is expected to overcome the knock that saw him hobble off against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.
Palace last beat Blackpool in the league on September 2, 1970, when they ran out 1-0 winners at Selhurst Park in the old First Division.
Since then they have faced each other nine times in the league with the Seasiders winning five of those meetings, though Palace have beaten them twice in the cup, both away from home.
