Nearly 7 per cent of Dial-a-Ride requests made in Merton were refused during June and July 2009.
Dial-a-Ride saw the number of refused trips rise from 99,000 in 2006-07 to 154,460 this year, according to new stats.
Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat member of the London Assembly and transport spokeswoman said, said: “It is simply appalling.
"Far from the new centralised computer booking system providing a better service the reality for disabled Londoners who rely on Dial-a-Ride is frequent inconvenience and isolation due to vital trips being denied to them.”
The service helps disabled residents travel.
