A speaker from the Campaign Against Climate Change was the guest speaker at Merton’s United Nation’s Association (UNA) annual general meeting last week.
Nick Hutton spoke about the environment emergency we face with just 10 weeks to go before the UN’s Copenhagen climate change talks begin.
Alison Williams, secretary of Merton’s UNA, said: “This was a real wake-up call and a reality check as to what is happening to our planet.
"This is our children’s future. All nations of the world need to act together to solve this climate crisis.”
