Generous shoppers and supermarket staff have coughed up more than a grand for a great cause.
Since deciding to support St Raphael’s Hospice three months ago, Sainsbury’s in Morden has raised more than £1,300 for the good cause.
Staff have raised cash for the North Cheam charity with instore collections and a sponsored midnight walk.
Halloween-themed fundraising events are also set to take place later this month.
Store manager Dave Hudson said: “It’s been fantastic to see the way everyone’s pulled together since we started working with St Raphael’s Hospice.
“We’ve all really enjoyed coming up with new and unusual ways to support and volunteer for this very worthy cause and it’s great to think that we’re making a positive difference to so many people.”
