Two points in two games is a disappointing return for the league leaders but a strong gusting wind meant that form had little to do with the result.
In a match with few clear cut chances, Park may consider themselves fortunate to have come away with a draw.
The signs of the difficulties to come were still a long way off when Carl Chaney put them into the lead in the 16th minute.
Having volleyed just over in the second minute of the game, Chaney made no mistake when he turned in an intelligent low cross from Dan Dunning from the left.
Five goals from eleven matches is an excellent return from the right sided midfielder.
Going one nil down seemed to stir CB Hounslow into action and from here onwards they looked the more likely team to score.
The energetic Shubbar down the left wing was a constant threat as was captain Franklin and it was Shubbar who scored the equaliser on the half hour.
A free kick from Adam Roberts found Shubbar unmarked at the far post who headed low past the diving Peter King.
Four minutes later Shubbar nearly made it 2-1 but just shot wide.
The second half picked up where the first left off and King was in action five minutes after the break saving well from Andy Witham after he was put through one-on-one after a mix up in the centre of the Worcester Park defence.
Gary Knowelden and Chad Heuston both had chances to pull Worcester Park back into the game but with the ball spending most of its time in the air rather than on the ground the wind was the game’s only winner.
Substitute Peters forced another save from King with just ten minutes remaining but apart from a sudden flurry of yellow cards – a total of 5 cautions in a far from bruising encounter played in excellent spirit – the game petered out into a draw.
Worcester Park: King; Drew, J Williams, Petruziello, D Dunning; Chaney (M Smith 72), Calicott, Stones (D Knowelden 58), G Knowelden; Heuston (Bowers 84), J Dunning.
