Police want to speak to this man in connection to an acid spillage which closed Kingston station and disrupted rush-hour trains.
A rucksack oozing fumes and acidic liquid was spotted by railway staff in the booking hall at the station at 4.50pm on Friday, September 22.
The corrosive black liquid burned through the shoe of a passer-by.
When railway staff confronted two men they fled the scene, according to police.
Trains were unable to stop at the station, while firemen in orange protective suits and breathing apparatus cleared the acid using soda ash and British Transport Police (BTP) investigated.
The station was finally re-opened at 9.30pm.
Detective Inspector Paul Langley, one of the investigating officers, said: “After conducting a forensic examination of the scene and reviewing CCTV from the station we’re now in a position to release an image of someone we want to identify.
“There must be members of the public who know this man and we’d like anyone who does recognise him to phone us.”
Anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation into the incident is asked to contact BTP on 0800 405040 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
