Police are hunting for an armed robber who used a hand gun to threaten staff at the Yorkshire Building Society in South Croydon.
The robber, who was dressed in black and wore a colour-changing “chameleon paint” crash helmet, fled empty-handed on a dark moped after staff at the Seldon Place branch activated a security screen.
The building society has offered a “substantial” reward for useful information about the raid, which took place at 4pm on September 16.
Police are keen to speak with anyone who recognises the distinctive crash helmet, which had a tinted purple and green visor.
Anyone with information can contact the Flying Squad on 020 7232 6530, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
