Elmbridge Council officers and representatives of the Energy Saving Trust will be out and about in borough later this month to promote the National Energy Saving Week.
To coincide with the launch of the week, the Energy Saving Trust is setting up a stand at the Heart shopping centre in Walton on Monday, October 19, to offer advice on home energy checks, insulation, heating and home renewable energy grants.
The council’s private sector housing team will also have display stands offering advice at the libraries in Molesey, Walton and Esher and the retirement homes around the borough.

Councillor John O’Reilly, cabinet member for housing at Elmbridge Council, said: “I am proud to support the Energy Saving Week this year and the great work of the Energy Saving Trust.”
I would strongly encourage residents of Elmbridge to be aware of the levels of energy they consume in their homes and get advice on how to do more. We all need to do our bit - no matter how small - to reduce the amount of energy used and these events are a great way to get information and be inspired.”
