One of fiction's most famous professors dropped in at a Streatham care home to award some special students.

Miriam Margoyles, who plays Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, visited the British Home in Crown Dale on Thursday, November 12, to give certificates to staff who had passed NVQs.

Staff at the home have been encouraged by its chief executive, Fiona Ritchie, to attend NVQ courses at Lambeth College to learn something new that can bring a new dimension to their work and home lives.
