A Streatham nine-year-old visited parliament to talk about the positive effect the Mend programme has had on her life.
Esther Memeh, spoke to Health Minister Gillian Merron MP and 26 MPs at a special reception on Wednesday, November 4.
The Mend programme looks at behaviour change, physical activity, and nutrition to get children and families fitter, healthier and happier.
Esther said: “I was thrilled to be chosen to go to Westminster and meet so many important MPs. The day was an amazing experience.
"I really enjoyed meeting other children and swapping stories about how much we had learnt about the importance of eating well and being active.
"I feel so much better about myself since going on the Mend programme.”
