Jason Pugh celebrated his 100th game for Molesey Community Church FC by being made captain and then pulling off a string of superb saves last Saturday.
Pugh, 40, denied a strong comeback by Peniel Church Essex in the National Christian Veterans Cup First Round to help Molesey to a 4-3 victory.
Kevin Fletcher, Peter Watters, an OG and Mark Blythe notched the goals. Jason, who works in the bakery at Tesco’s Molesey made 3 point blank saves when it appeared that Peniel must equalise.
Molesey play Bluntisham Baptist from Cambridge, away in the next Road.
