If you can sniff out treasure, you may be lucky enough to win tickets to see Treasure Island at the Rose Theatre this December.
The theatre has teamed up with businesses to offer shoppers surprise goodies and a family ticket to the production.
Bentalls, the theatre’s Culture Cafe, John Lewis, Frangos, Frere Jacques, Kingston Council and Shakeaway will host the treasure hunt for one week each, and will offer customers a free prize when they whisper a secret password to a member of staff.
The password can be found by watching a trailer at rosetheatrekingston.org/treasure or by signing up to the Rose mailing list.
Dates and locations for the treasure hunts are listed in full on the theatre’s website.
The premier performance of Treasure Island is Friday, December 11.
The auditorium will be transformed into a pirates’ paradise for the performance and the audience are asked to wear fancy dress to get into the spirit of the evening.
Donations will also be collected for Shooting Star Hospice during a one-off charity performance.
Louise Gilbert, at the theatre, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer the children, their families and staff a night to remember by providing them with tickets and the opportunity to meet the cast.
“Fancy dress is optional. It’s the perfect excuse to have a lot of fun and raise money for a remarkable charity and we want the audience to really get involved.
“The fancy dress fundraiser will be a chance for all ages to have fun. It’s going to be a very special evening.”
The show runs until January 9.
