Oceana in Kingston, famed for hosting “school disco” nights for adults, will open its doors to actual schoolchildren next Saturday afternoon, for a family-friendly event.
Nicola Hoburgh and Niamh Sharma, both mothers of two from Teddington, are launching Kids Go Disco, a new event aimed at four to 10 year olds.
The club, based in Clarence Street, will see mini-ravers take to the dance floor on Saturday, December 12, from 2pm until 5pm, while their parents can enjoy a drink at the bar.
Mrs Hoburgh said: “It’s not just about kids being dropped off there, it’s a rare chance for families do something together on an afternoon that they can all enjoy.
“We had a very successful trial even in March where a father split his trousers after trying to splits on the dance floor!”
Tickets are £10 each for “everyone that can walk” and adults must be accompanied by a child to be allowed entry, with a maximum of three children allowed per adult.
