Ghanaian musician and star of Cadbury’s latest advertising campaign - Tinny - visited the New Horizon Centre in Mitcham on Monday to inspire young Ghanaians.
Tinny appears in the current television commercials highlighting the chocolate company’s recent Fairtrade certification and sings his latest single in a cocoa farming community in Ghana.
The artist performed for the young people attending the centre and answered questions about his music and his country of origin.
Yacoba Debrah, who helped organise the event, said: ”It’s very important for second generation Ghanaians to connect with Ghanaian culture and music and with Ghanaian role models.
“It was a great inspiration for the young people to meet a star like Tinny who has not only experienced great success in his musical career, but also invests his time in principles he believes in such as fairtrade.”
