A Lambeth Council worker has been appointed as vice president of the national Association of Council Secretaries and Solicitors (ACSeS).
Mark Hynes, director of legal and democratic services at the council, was appointed to the position at the association AGM on November 19.
ACSeS represents council managers and deputies who oversee legal, administrative and democratic matters in their boroughs as well as providing scrutiny and standards functions.
Mr Hynes said: "I am very proud to be involved with the association and working with colleagues we have delivered a great deal of improvement and transformation across the profession specifically and local authorities generally."
