A campaign to keep partygoers safe after one too many has launched in Wimbledon.
The be social, be sensible, be safe campaign - which reminds revellers to look after themselves during Christmas nights out - was unveiled on Monday.
Bar staff at venues across the town will wear t-shirts promoting the scheme, while police officers will remind drinkers of the Cabwise phone service - which allows anyone to get the number for a nearby licensed cab company free of charge.
Inspector Jim Cook, who leads the Merton police team covering the town centre, said: “Last year we looked to this campaign as a way to help reduce alcohol related crime and incidents in Wimbledon town centre and it worked.
"Alcohol related incidents over the Christmas period fell by 30 per cent and the licensees involved were pleased with the results too.”
