Clint Hill paid tribute to everyone at Crystal Palace who has helped keep him fit after making his 100th appearance for the club in Tuesday's win against Reading.
The defender had an injury-prone time at Stoke City before joining the Eagles shortly after Neil Warnock became manager in 2007.
Since then he has missed just eight games for Palace, scoring five goals in that time.
"To win 4-2 at Reading capped a brilliant day off for me and to play 100 matches here is fantastic," he said.
"I hope I can try and crack on and get a few more if I can.
"I had about two and a half years of horrific injuries at Stoke and only played 84 games in four and a half years so to reach 100 here in two years and only miss eight games is testament to everyone at the club who has looked after me and I am delighted with that.
"It's down to hard work and people pulling me back a few times and not letting me train when I wanted.
"I don't really want to miss training but they told me just to rest up and just look after myself a bit more and it's done well for me."
Hill reverted back to centre half against Reading and admitted it took him some time to readjust.
"It was strange going back to centre-half and it probably took me 20 minutes to get back used to the position again.
"It was the right decision I think because obviously their wingers are very quick and skilful and it was a fantastic result especially after what happened on Saturday.
"It was important to respond as the Doncaster game wasn't very good from all of us and we knew that.
"Doncaster showed us a lesson in how to play football to be honest with you and we were all upset but on Tuesday the main thing was we responded well and got the right result."
Victor Moses stole the show with two goals and Hill was full of praise for the youngster.
"That's what Victor is all about," he said.
"He can be anonymous some games and the next two or three he can be amazing and tear people apart, he has a very bright future.
"It was nice for him to turn on the style and enjoy the game but it was a good team effort and we were all delighted."
