DULWICH HAMLET 0 CORINTHIAN CASUALS 1

A classic Ryman Division One South away performance from Corinthian Casuals resulted in the side from Tolworth recording their first win at Dulwich since 1973.

A solitary strike from Carlton Murray-Price late in the second period was enough to give the visitors a deserved three points against a Hamlet side who were unbeaten in their past seven outings in the league previous to this match.

Casual's came into the match in somewhat of a slump, losing six of their past eight matches, however you would have thought it was the hosts who had been suffering a lean spell as of late, given the confident manner Casuals started the match- stretching their opponents back line in an impressive opening 20-minute spell.

Murray-Price, on three minutes, and Kane Sergeant on 15 minutes especially, both inches wide of finding the target with good efforts just outside the box.

Hamlet somewhat came to grips with the Casuals as the first half wore on, with the visitors comfortably keeping their promotion-chasing opponents at bay but often looking dangerous themselves when in the home side's half especially with the pace of strikers Murray-Price and Owusu Bekoe.

The second half was played in much the same vein with Casuals looking like the side who had been in impressive form of late, stifling Dulwich of any real chances or dangerous possession.

However, just as the game was looking like ending in stalemate, a high clearance from the impressive and imposing debutant centre-half Matt Kidson, was brought down by Murray-Price who exquisitely lobed the on-rushing keeper to give Casuals the lead on 75-minutes.

Phil Wilson in the Dulwich goal somehow tipped over a powerful Scott Hassell header two minutes later, while, at the other end, Luke Naughton manged to hold on to a testing 25-yard free-kick with just seconds on the clock.
