Crystal Palace fans could lose their season tickets if a new owner refused to honour them.
The administrators said the new owners would not be legally bound to uphold tickets bought before the club went into administration.
Brendan Guilfoyle, from P&A Partnership, said: “It would be considered highly undesireable not to honour season tickets already sold.
“Even someone as hard-nosed as Ken Bates honoured the season tickets. It would be unprecedented for a new owner to come in and make fans pay again.”
In a message to fans he said: “More than players, more than managers and certainly more than administrators you, the supporters, are the club; you are its past, present and future and anybody who doesn’t recognise that will soon fail.”
