Neil Danns scored an injury time winner as Crystal Palace pulled off the ultimate smash and grab victory with a 2-1 win over Scunthorpe United.
Danns curled home from the edge of the box after David Mirfin had earlier cancelled out Darren Ambrose's 15th goal of the season.
The Eagles were second best throughout though and will consider themselves fortunate.
Grant McCann and Cliff Byrne should have put the home side ahead within the first 10 minutes but both missed glaring opportunities.
Danny Butterfield was lucky to only get booked when he went in high on Paul Hayes, with the ensuing melee seeing Hayes and Shaun Derry get booked.
The Eagles were second best for the whole of the first half but improved after the break, with Matt Lawrence making a number of key challenges and headers in defence.
Scunthorpe were made to pay for not making their dominance count as they failed to clear a corner properly and Ambrose was given time and space to curl the ball home.
Marcus Williams was then sent off for bringing down substitute Keiran Djilali when through on goal.
Djilali should have wrapped up the points but twice wasted chances to win the game before David Mirfin headed in from a corner.
In the third minute of injury time though Danns ws set up by Nathaniel Clyne on the edge of the box and he found the bottom corner with his left foot.
