Ask anybody about Motspur Park and they generally don’t have a clue of where you are talking about or just try and be polite by nodding and smiling and saying "oh yeah, that little place inbetween Wimbledon and Kingston." To be honest those who really do know about Motspur Park (i.e. the residents like me) find it to be a quiet little village with not many events occurring apart from around 10 years ago when the most exciting thing to happen in Motspur Park back then was the cast of Eastenders visiting and signing autographs at The BBC Club which has since been closed down.It was nearly turned into a Graveyard but that plan has since been abandoned due to a petition created by many local residents but nothing has been finalised at present. Motspur Park however is the home ground for Fulham football training located on a large quantity of land where players are regularly seen on their way to practice.

Living in quite a small town has its difficulties in terms of transport, for instance, bus travel is fairly irregular as there is only one that arrives every hour which isn’t good if you’ve just missed the one that takes you to work or school. Another downside is that it doesn’t travel beyond 8pm and it doesn’t travel at all on a Sunday. However not all transport is inadequate as the over ground train station situated within Motspur Park comes more regularly than the bus service and travels out of town to places like Guildford and Waterloo if you feel the need to explore other sights or a busy city life. Although Motspur Park may not be to everybody’s taste due to its rural way of life especially compared to the busier towns which surround it, Motspur Park is a quiet friendly area made up by the residents who take pride in their town which to them is not forgotten just unique compared to others.
