A man was treated in hospital after being attacked with an umbrella.
Police said the 24-year-old, from Basildon, received a wound to the side of his body after an argument broke out on the westbound platform at Turnham Green station at 6pm last Thursday.
He was taken to hospital, where he received treatment for the injury and has since been discharged.
Detective Constable Graham Hempstead, of British Transport Police (BTP), said: “Three people were involved in an altercation on the westbound platform at the station and one man received a wound to his side from an umbrella.
“We are working to establish the exact circumstances of what happened on the platform and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may help our investigation to come forward and contact police."
A 35-year-old man, from Isleworth, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been bailed by police to return for further questioning on February 22.
