A shopping centre is trading as normal and has a “buoyant footfall” despite falling into receivership last year, the centre manager has said.
Times Square Shopping Centre on Sutton High Street was placed under a receiver last April.
However centre manager Noel Bergmann said since then four new shops have opened - Juicy Bag and Accessories, Fine Art, Memory Lane and Times Hair & Beauty.
He said the letting team was also close to announcing three further new tenants.
Mr Bergman said: “In terms of our existing tenants and loyal shoppers nothing has changed.
“Our footfall is still buoyant and was up in the last quarter covering Christmas, more than £160K has been spent on refurbishing the upper deck of the centre and money has been committed to marketing for 2010.
“The receiver, managing agent and Times Square staff are fully committed to the centre’s success and we will continue to be at the very heart of Sutton’s shopping experience.”
