Julian Speroni: Maybe could have closed Kuqi down quicker for the goal but save from Orlandi at start of the second half kept Palace in the match. 6
Nathaniel Clyne: Composed as ever and did better than Hills against Dyer when the winger switched sides. He makes the odd error but when he does he tends to make amends. 6
Clint Hill: Was the main man in defence and had to take control, putting his body on the line and barking out orders to the others. Could have been closer to Kuqi for the goal though. 6
Johnny Ertl: Having only had half a training session in two weeks the Austrian did pretty well to last the 90 minutes. He was too often scared of Kuqi though and outmuscled by the big Finn. 6
Lee Hills: Has promise but struggled badly against the pace and trickery of Dyer and arguably at fault for the goal. Got forward well but needs to work on his crossing and made the wrong decision too many times. 5
Shaun Derry: Lucky to escape without even a ticking off for his two-footed lunge on Kuqi. Along with the rest of the midfield he couldn't cope with Swansea's passing and movement in the first half but improved in the second. 6
Nick Carle: Constantly wanted to be involved in the action and played some delightful passes only he in the Palace side could do. Pushed a bit further forward in the second half and was at the centre of most of the Eagles' attacks. Man of the match. 6
Neil Danns: Didn't get in the box to support Lee as much as he has done in recent games and was pegged back a bit by Swansea. Looked a little tired after all the games of late. 6
Darren Ambrose: Had Palace's best chance but put it wide and was a little out of sorts all game. His corners seemed to go to the first man almost every time. 5
Danny Butterfield: Looks like he may have had his time at right wing against Wolves last week. Was completely ineffective and it was obvious he was out of position. 5
Alan Lee: Had very little joy but arguably could have had a penalty in the first half. It wasn't really his game as Palace needed someone with a bit of pace and guile about them up front, two things Lee does not offer. 5
Subs:
Kieran Djilali (Butterfield, 57): His pace should have troubled Swansea but Palace didn't get the ball to him enough. 5
Calvin Andrew (Lee, 57): Made a difference as his movement caused Swansea problems. 6
Sean Scannell (Carle, 81): Had a couple of half chances but looked short of match fitness and sharpness. 5
