New flower beds and bicycle stands are among the latest arrivals in the streets around Wimbledon Chase Station.
Merton Council made the improvements as part of a £2m borough-wide project to upgrade signs, street furniture and trees. Changes to the area officially unveiled on Monday include new shrubs, flower beds and bicycle stands.
The council is also set to resurface a stretch of nearby Kingston Road as part of the project.
A spokesman said the resurfacing, between the junctions with Mostyn Road and Bushy Road, would start on February 22 and take place from 8pm to 3am for about three weeks.
