Businesses in Elmbridge are being encouraged to sign up to a new card incentive scheme to boost trade in the borough.
The More card scheme offers shoppers discounts and there will also be special offers, listed on Elmbridge Council’s website, available to users.
The council will give participating shops window and till stickers to advertise to people they are part of the scheme.
Melanie Trevett, who works in the Cristina boutique in Weybridge, said: “The More card is a great opportunity to help both local businesses and our community. It’s time we focused more on our town and what it can offer. This card will be a benefit to everyone and I would ask more local business to sign up, the more we can offer the local community the stronger Weybridge will be.
“With this card you will be rewarding your customers and therefore supporting the future of our town.”
Businesses interested in taking part can download an application from elmbridge.gov.uk/ebn or alternatively contact the council’s senior leisure officer on 01372 474586 or leisure@elmbridge.gov.uk.
