Staines Town climbed to fourth in Blue Square South with a 2-0 win at Bromley on Saturday.
Although the Kent side started the game just two points behind Staines, they were without a win in their previous five games.
Staines had the first real opening after 19 minutes when Marc Charles-Smith fed Howard Newton, but his crisp shot on the turn was headed off the line by Nicky Greene.
And the resulting corner brought the goal as a defender missed Newton’s under-hit corner allowing Ali Chaaban to poach a goal from close range.
Five minutes later, ex-Staines man Richard Butler went close to an equaliser, but his shot was slightly off target.
The game started to own up and Newton saw one shot skim just wide, while another - after great work by Charles-Smith - deceived keeper Gareth Williams only to bobble just wide.
In between, Bromley’s Salifou Ibrahima had missed when well placed, while Warren McBean’s powerful run was halted by Andre Scarlett’s expert tackle.
Four minutes before the break, Butler again seemed set to score after winning possession in a dangerous position, but he was adjudged to have imepded Mambo.
Just before half-time, Ibrahima and Ashley Carew combined well for Bromley, but skipper Danny Gordon made the vital block.
Wells made an early second-half save from Jerome Sobers’ head look easy, before Swans boss Steve Cordery withdrew Jackson who, shortly after being booked had been pulled up by the referee for tripping McBean.
From the resulting free kick, Wes Daly curled a shot around the wall and brought a fine save from Wells.
Shortly after a yellow card for Griffiths, the striker played a part in Staines’ second goal. He provided a telling cross from which Charles-Smith was brave enough to go in where it hurt and head home the vital second goal.
Scarlett denied Bromley a goal when he cleared Ibrahima’s diving header off the line and, at the other end, his shot went inches wide of the far post.
