Crystal Palace fans have chipped in to prop up the beleaguered club, paying for the youth team’s trip to Hull last week.

The fan-owned Crystal Palace FC Supporters Trust (CPST) paid for the 200-mile trek on February 11.

The team stormed to a 4-1 away win over Hull City in the FA Youth Cup game.

It is not the first time the trust has stepped in to bail out the club. In 2003 and 2004 the CPST funded the Academy’s U15 side which included Victor Moses.

The CPST, set up by fans between 1999 and 2000, is committed to the supporting the club in any way.

Raj Chandarana, CPST member and councillor for West Thornton, said: “In times of trouble, the fans will always back the club.
