Award winning chocolatier Tim Fisher has seen his business boom since setting up Indulgence Confectionery in Croydon’s brand new indoor bazaar.
The specialist chef struck out on his own more than three years ago, but limited his business to the Internet after struggling to finance a move to retail premises.
Mr Fisher’s move to Stuff Croydon, which opened three weeks ago on the site of the former Beanos record shop, has enabled his business to grow beyond the electronic realm.
He said: “I had my busiest day so far on Saturday, which doubled last Saturday’s total so we are going from strength to strength.
“I’d gone as far as I could with internet trading - I needed to push the business on, and Stuff has been perfect for that.”
The pastry chef’s standard range features 18 handmade chocolates ranging from sea salted caramel and earl grey tea to passion fruit and lime flavours.
Truffles, drinking chocolate and lollipops are also on the menu, and Mr Fisher says he can make up “pretty much anything” to order, citing a Singapore Sling cocktail-flavoured chocolate for a wedding.
Stuff Croydon features more than 50 stalls spread over three floors of the building in Middle Street.
