Julian Speroni: His kicking was better today and it's debatable whether he could have done more for any of the goals. 6
Danny Butterfield: Dragged out of position by Kebe for the first goal and struggled to cope with the Reading man at times. 5
Clint Hill: Partnership with Davis showed a few creeks as the pair found it difficult to keep Church quiet. 5
Claude Davis: Booked again for the third game in a row and like Hill he was given the run-around by Church. 5
Nathaniel Clyne: Given the task of marking McAnuff and didn't do it as well as he did against Ashley Young on Sunday. Gave McAnuff too much time to cross for the first goal. 6
Shaun Derry: The captain tried to inspire his team and got his foot in in midfield. Made a few poor choices at times though with shots from outside the box. 6
Johnny Ertl: Same as Derry in that he got stuck in but was not much a force when it came to going forward. 6
Nick Carle: Poor header led to the second goal but push the side forward. Can consider himself unlucky to be subbed with Palace chasing the game. 6
Neil Danns: Apart from a shot early on he was not in the game and must have been nursing an injury to go off after 44 minutes. 5
Darren Ambrose: Palace's main threat again and was denied by Federici on a few occasions. Claims an assist with the corner for Scannell's goal. Man of the match. 7
Calvin Andrew: Didn't win as many headers as Lee does and didn't really get involved. 5
Subs:
Sean Scannell (Danns, 44): Made a difference when he came on and his first goal of the season should hopefully see him push on now. 6
Alan Lee (Andrew, 46): Offered more than Andrew but didn't really put any pressure on the Reading goal. 6
Alassane N'Diaye (Carle, 63): Looks a bit young and naïve at times and the urgency of the game seemed to pass him by. 5
