A 24-year-old man has been charged with criminal damage after a supermarket window was broken.
Martin Wynn, of Brookers Close, Ashtead, will appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court on March 1.
CCTV images had been released by police of a man wanted in connection with the £2,000 damage caused at Tesco Express, Craddocks Parade, on Wednesday, January 27.
Ashtead safer neighbourhood officer, PC Jason Woods said: “I would like to thank the media for their assistance with this investigation. “Following the release of the CCTV we received numerous calls from members of the public providing information.
“Surrey Police takes criminal damage very seriously and we will take action to bring offenders of crime to justice.”
