Police want to speak to these two men about damage to seven trees newly planted as part of the Sutton High Street regeneration.
The appeal comes after the Sutton Guardian reported the damage at the start of this year. Bark was ripped from the trees from about 2ft from the base to a height of about 4ft.
The first image shows two men walking down the High Street with a dog, described as being about the size of a boxer dog.
The second appears to show the same men encouraging a dog to bite a tree outside the St Nicholas Centre. The images were captured at 12.45am on the December 24, 2009.
Town centre inspector Chris Green said: βItβs very sad there are people who are prepared to spoil the improvement work.β
The men in these images may not be connected with the incident.
