Opening with an ambient entourage of singing, Glenthorne high schools production of Joseph and the Technicolor dream coat was more than just an amateur play. At first sight, one can clearly see the amount of time and effort that has been put into the set and introduction alone. Long strips of coloured fabric hanging like a curtain to display the silhouettes of many characters created an enticing and interesting opening to the production, and undoubtedly had the audience hooked in seconds. It is clear that every detail of this production was thought through, with the schools very own collection of incredibly able musicians accompanying the play with impeccably performed music. Along with this was the extraordinary young main character including a narrator who sung with the voice and confidence of an experienced professional, and the actor of Joseph who captured the character unbelievably well and created an entertaining and inspiring spectacle. This is by far the most ambitious projects one has seen from a high school and it would have no problem competing with the many notorious west end shows London is famous for. Joseph and the Technicolor dream coat was an impressive and stimulating show to watch and all those involved deserve huge recognition and praise for creating such a demonstration of pure talent and entertainment.
