Julian Speroni: There is no doubt he is a superb goalkeeper and is allowed the odd error considering how many points we have won because of him. Sadly, it was his fault we lost one on Saturday that would have kept us out of the relegation zone. 5
Nathaniel Clyne: Lost the ball in the lead up to the goal but is in very good form at the minute. Needs to cut out the one mistake a game he seems to be making. 7
Claude Davis: Did not look his usual confident self and struggled after injuring himself in the first half. 6
Matt Lawrence: Given the run-around by Morrison in the first half, with the ex-Palace man winning everything in the air against him. He was better after the break. 6
Clint Hill: Back at left back he squandered opportunities to go forward into empty space and was done for pace by Bell for the goal. 5
Johnny Ertl: One of Palace's best players on the day he was always asking for the ball and willing to run for his team mates and make a tackle when needed. 7
Shaun Derry: Had an off day when it came to passing and shooting as well. Every time a Palace corner or free kick got cleared it came to him on the edge of the box and every time he hit it over or wasted it. 6
Nick Carle: Has lost the form that got him back in the team and gave the ball away too often. Denied by a good save from Westwood when really he should have scored. 5
Sean Scannell: First league start since October and tired as the game wore on. Offered some pace and neat tricks in the first half but his crossing was poor. 6
Darren Ambrose: Was Palace's main threat and denied by one clearance on the line and again by Westwood's legs. If he was to get injured the Eagles would be in big trouble. Man of the match. 7
Alan Lee: Wood and McPake had him covered for most of the game though he did work his socks off as usual. Was never a goal threat. 6
Subs:
Kieran Djilali (Scannell, 68): Showed a nice turn of pace a couple of times and only a good McPake block denied him his first Palace goal. 6
Calvin Andrew (Carle, 87): Didn't make an impact. 5
