Scores of mourners arrived at St Anne’s Church in St Ann’s Hill on Friday to bid farewell to much-loved DJ, Shawn Francis.
The 34-year-old Battersea resident died from a brain haemorrage after a suspected ecstacy overdose on February 3.
After the funeral, friends and family went to Wandsworth Cemetary in Magdalene Road to finally lay him to rest.
His friend, Georgina Burden, wrote on Facebook: “Shawn, sending you and all those who love you, thoughts, love and prayers on this day - its all about you, everyone will be there to celebrate you, your a superstar.”
Mr Francis, a former pupil at Southfields Community College, was a former resident DJ at Boujis nightclub in Kensington.
He was due to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court to answer charges of possessing cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply on February 9.
