Meet SwiftKnight, biomedical student by day - hip hop sensation by night.
The 21-year-old, who studies biomedical science at St George’s Hospital, is officially launching his tunes this week before performing at the O2 arena.
SwiftKnight, whose real name is Achi Alaneme, first got into making music when he found a mixing software CD in a Shreddies cereal packet.
These days he spends most of his time in the lab, but come 6 o’clock he swaps his bunsen burner for a microphone.
The Fountain Road resident said: “My music is derived from real emotions and thoughts and feelings. I'd like to say it stands out from what’s generally heard.
“Being an educated dude, they say my rhymes are more sophisticated. But they’re still hot.
“It's all really positive, unlike most urban music. It's positive, it's thoughtful, it's energetic. It's what music should be.”
