A loveable knitted duck flapped his way back on TV by impersonating a television show host.
Peter the Wingless Duck was kicked off the K Factor, part of Harry Hill’s TV Burp, because he had no wings.
Several Facebook campaigns were set-up to reinstate the feathered fowl, claiming he had been discriminated against because of his disability.
On a wing and a prayer, Peter appeared in the latest instalment of the knitted toy competition, disguised as Harry Hill, peaking behind some square rimmed glasses in an attempt to fool the judges.
Frankly the duck’s plan fell at the first hurdle though, when he was asked to speak.
Peter’s “agent” David Chapman, said: “We're over the moon that the K Factor judges decided that they had been unfair and we're very grateful to the Croydon Guardian for their help in raising awareness.
“Of course it's absolutely typical of Peter's tragic life that when they called him to invite him back, he was unable to answer the phone, because he has no wings. Hopefully they will also get in touch by post, because Peter has learned how to open letters with his beak.
“We are praying that he will get the chance to return and show the judges exactly how talented he is.”
