Music technology students at South Thames College in Wandsworth are gaining real experience of what it is like to be “on tour” this March.
The students, on the National Diploma course, will leave London and embark on a three day tour to colleges in Nottingham, Newcastle, North Tyneside and Warwickshire.
As part of their trip they will mix music technology, prepare for travelling, engineer the sound, perform live and manage the tour.
Jessica Barsoum, who recently was selected as tour manager, said: “It’s really exciting. It is particularly relevant to me because I want to go on and study music technology at university”.
Nick Osbourne, curriculum manager, added: “This is their chance to experience what it is really like on tour. They will be under pressure, but it is also their chance to shine and to show students across the country how talented the South Thames College group is.”
