Facebook tributes have poured in for a teenager who died after a party in Walton on Saturday, February 13.
Reports suggest Stephen Gurr, 19, took painkillers at the party and suffered an allergic reaction.
He spent five days in intensive care at St Peter’s Hospital but died on Thursday, February 18.
His brother Mark Gurr set up Facebook page RIP Stephen Gurr (my brother) in his memory.
Gemma Lowe wrote on the page: “You were an amazing boy who was loved and cherished by so many. Just remember to keep an eye out on every1 you love and protect them from any harm that comes their way. especially my brother, he misses you so much! u were like a brother to him and for him to lose you so early it must of broke his heart. im just glad he got to say his final goodbyes! Stephen, fly free!”
Hayley Glenister posted: “Stephen was a great lad Mark and he will always be the brightest star in the sky now.”
A police spokesman said: “The 19-year-old man who was in a critical condition after being taken to hospital apparently suffering from the effects of taking painkillers at an address in Walton sadly died yesterday afternoon.
“The investigation is continuing.”
They confirmed a 19-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail until a date in March.
