A mum is desperately trying to track down a “true hero” who stopped a bunch of yobs from abusing her and her three-year-old daughter on a bus.
Danielle Lewis was on her way home from West Middlesex Hospital, in Isleworth, with her poorly toddler, Leah, when a gang of youngsters started causing trouble on an H91 bus.
She said: “They were being very rowdy, throwing things in the direction of my daughter and myself and swearing and shouting at me.
“I was very worried and scared, as was my daughter.”
But to the rescue came a mysterious stranger, who Ms Lewis knows only as Chris.
She added: “Chris was sitting beside us and he got up and asked the children to calm down and stop swearing and though they pushed him over, he got up and insisted he miss his stop deliberately in order that I get off at my stop safely.
“He walked me and my daughter home and had it not been for him, I would have suffered from a serious panic attack. I am indebted to Chris, he is a true hero.”
Ms Lewis and Leah are keen to thank Chris personally. He told them that he works at GlaxoSmithKline House, in Brentford, and that he is an Arsenal fan – and the pair are now calling on readers to help track him down.
