Sport Relief is now well underway across the country, with millions competing in sponsored sporting events to help tackle poverty in the UK and in disadvantaged countries around the world. The main event sweeping the nation is the Sport Relief Mile, a one, three or six mile sponsored run for charity, and soon it will be coming to Epsom.
Epsom & Ewell Borough Council are teaming up with the London Borough of Sutton for a Mile event in Nonsuch Park on Sunday 21st March. Joining in with millions of others around the UK is a group of nine 6th Formers from Blenheim High School, taking part in this particular Mile. ‘Inside-Out’ is running the entire mile in inside-out clothing, and the team is currently in training for the event. Along with this, they will each have a letter of the team name on their chest, and will run in a line spelling it out the whole way.
For more information on the Mile and how to take part, visit www.sportrelief.com. To sponsor ‘Inside-Out’, visit www.mysportrelief.com/insideout2. Any size donations are greatly appreciated.
