Julian Speroni: Made a number of comfortable saves to keep Palace in the game though his kicking was a bit suspect again. 7

Nathaniel Clyne: Started off at right back and did well defensively and when he got forward. Switched to left back in the second half and took Coppinger out of the game, nearly scoring himself. 7

Claude Davis: Lasted one block before having to be replaced after five minutes. 5

Matt Lawrence: Had another good game with plenty of last-ditch blocks and tackles though he was a bit lucky not to give away a penalty in the very last minute of injury time. 7

Clint Hill: Recalled to the side at left back but moved into the centre once Davis went of and, like Lawrence, showed his commitment with a number of good blocks. 7

Danny Butterfield: Given a man-marking job to do on Oster in centre midfield and followed him all over the pitch. He didn't always keep up with him though and Oster was allowed to create the first goal. 7

Shaun Derry: Gave the ball away a fair amount again but also won it back a great deal. Had his usual couple of shots from outside the box that failed to trouble the Doncaster goal. 6

Nick Carle: What little spark there was from Palace in the first half came through Carle but, like the rest of the midfield, he struggled with Doncaster's movement when defending. 7

Darren Ambrose: Palace's most creative player it was inevitable he would create the goal with a superb mazy run. Could have doubled the lead shortly after but was denied by Sullivan. Man of the match. 8

Kieran Djilali: Gave Palace a bit of spark and pace. Threatened a couple of times in the first half and it was good to see him get his maiden goal for the club. Has the potential to be the new Victor Moses. 7

Alan Lee: Struggled to make an impact and was too often isolated up front. He still worked tirelessly though. 6

Subs:

Lee Hills (Davis, 5): Struggled against Coppinger and with the system Palace were playing. Being taken off at half time will do nothing for his already low confidence. 4

Johnny Ertl (Hills, 46): Can feel hard done by to be dropped but put in an assured display at right back in the second half and made Palace look solid. 6

Calvin Andrew (Djilali, 90): No time. 6
