The Northern line was suspended for an hour this morning causing travel misery for thousands of Tube users in Wandsworth.
No trains ran between Stockwell and Morden for about an hour from 7.30am, after a signal failure between Colliers Wood and Tooting Broadway.
The closure meant Tube passengers were forced to join lengthy queues for buses, which struggled to move on heavily congested roads.
