The administrators in charge of Crystal Palace say manager Neil Warnock's switch to Queens Park Rangers is not yet agreed.
The Hoops announced the 61-year-old as their new manager last night but a statement from The P&A Partnership issued on the Eagles' website suggests the move is not finalised.
They said: "The club is aware of the statement issued by Queens Park Rangers last night.
"The club believes this is somewhat premature.
"Discussions are ongoing regarding the release of Neil Warnock and members of his management team but these remain subject to agreement of relevant documentation."
The statement does suggest that assistant manager Mick Jones and first team coach Keith Curle will follow Warnock to West London.
